Cultivate the Wild explores the quiet practice of observing and tending to the mind — a return to caring for one’s inner landscape. “Cultivate” evokes growth and mindfulness, while “the wild” speaks to both nature and the untamed inner world. Each delicate ring, made from colored clay and paper, symbolizes the impermanence of life. As the paper burns away in the fire, only the clay remains — a new form born from disappearance. These rings must connect in careful balance to create a unified structure. Though complete, their fragility endures. The making process is a meditative ritual — a way of grounding both body and mind. Through repetition, I witness thoughts rise and fall, revealing beauty and disorder. This work is a reflection of life’s shifting nature and a reminder that, even in vulnerability, there is strength, form, and meaning.
